King Charles

King Charles! We caught the Londoner play a set at Fee Fie Foe Fum last December. We were hypnotized by his epic hair. You can catch him on the 12th at the Social. Keep an eye on his Myspace for details. The King kindly answered some questions…

What was your first musical instrument and where did you get it?

My darling mother bought me a three quarter sized cello when I was seven though I have no idea from where

Do you download music or buy hard copies? Or both?

I would say that I buy hard copies of albums and download singles.

Favourite music venue to play and why?

I’ve always had a ball at the troubadour. I love being on home soil.

Last book read: The Pearl, John Steinbeck

Last movie watched: Mamma Mia

5 hopes for 2009:

I’d like to get married, sell millions of albums, bare knuckle fight with a panther, avoid nostalgia, end it better than I started.

Best moment on tour?

Climbing Arthur’s seat with some old friends.

If you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?

In the centre of the arctic circle, the north pole , orchestral set.

Favourite band/singer/album you discovered recently?

I heard tame impala on the radio , sounded cool .

If you could get any two musicians to collaborate with each other, who would they be and why?

Aphex Twin and Jimi Hendrix. I think they are both masters of clarity and chaos.

Thanks to King Charles! Here is his music video for Time Of Eternity:
